Due to “The Beast from the East”, World Book Day in Kilmagner was rescheduled to Thursday March 8th. The children, as always really got into the spirit of things and wore some wonderful book related costumes. In addition, the children took part in peer-paired reading in which older children read with younger children. This was a great success, and the children seemed to enjoy it immensely. Well done children! Here are some photos from the day.
Hurling training recently kicked off again in Kilmagner. Boys and girls from Junior Infants to Sixth Class had great fun and exercise in the brilliant sunshine. Training will continue every Tuesday at lunchtime, weather permitting.
Our open night will now go ahead on March 15th due to an adverse weather forecast. Same time, 6pm tp 7:30pm. See you there.

We were delighted to recently take delivery of our new school jerseys. The purchase of the jerseys was made possible due to the help of two groups of people. The current Sixth Class Parents and last year’s 6th class pupils (who organised a bake sale to raise funds for the school). With many events coming up, the children will look the part at each and every event. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Well done to the children and parents at Kilmagner NS who recently presented Fr G Coleman with a donation towards the cost of repairs to the Church roof. The Church roof is in need of repair and the cost will be substantial. The children decided to wear their Christmas jumpers before the holidays and also donated some money towards the repairs. We hope that this money helps a little.

Well done to 5th and 6th Classes for taking time out to visit Conna Care Home in the lead up to Christmas. The children really enjoyed it and the patients also seemed to be well entertained. Thank you to Anne-Marie Maguire for organising this visit.
